Where did I come from?
I remember that book when I was in primary school. Thirty odd years later I worked it out and all of a sudden I'm a Dad. What could possibly be more inspiring to get your life in order and go make something of yourself!?!
In late 2017, after many years working in Hospital Engineering and Maintenance (and still employed full time) I took a big step in faith and secured a lease on a commercial shed. My vision was to use my spare time (cough) to bring life to my ideas and designs that had plagued my mind for far too long.
This company, NAB Engineering, is dedicated to leaving a legacy for my son. Yes, NAB might be one of the big banks, but to me its nothing else other than the initials of my first child.
Who am I
Hi, my name is Joel Brunton. I'm originally a Maintenance Fitter by trade, doing my time at Toowoomba Base Hospital and since spent many years switching in and out of Hospital Engineering, Projects and IT. I've now paved my way back into the world of fabrication and machining with an overwhelming sense of passion and purpose.
Based on the Gold Coast, I'm married to my beautiful, amazing wife, mum, angel, fairy, magician, Renata. We've got two amazing boys Nic and Lucas who keep us on our toes.
What I am passionate about
Keep moving forward - Don't look back.
I've come to find that the more I learn, the more I want to learn. Particularly in developing tech and responsible use of the environment. So in 2020 I started part time study in Engineering (Mechatronics), not just to back myself as an engineer, but to also get educated in automation and how it can be applied in reducing our big dirty environmental footprint. In 2021 I took the plunge and stopped full time employment, started full time study and working in NAB.

I don't want to deliver anything but the best, so I take pride in spending those extra moments, whether its minutes, hours or even days, to make sure it's just right.
